Remembering QE2's Final visit to New York 2 years ago.

It was 2 years ago the QE2 came to bid America farewell after over 39 years of service life with the Cunard line.

New York was her 2nd home next to Southampton England ,

it was a very bittersweet and sad day for all of us.

I was one of the few to bid her a decent farewell for I had a brief tour of her and her public spaces including the famous QE2 Wardroom where her builders plate was along with numerous artifacts.

I couldn't see all of her due to time constraints but in all I said my farewell and I have my last photographs of her.

And now they are here for the world to see and cherish forever.

Behold the final images of this beautiful ship / more to be posted later this week.

Eurodam & Carnival Glory depart New York on a perfect summer evening.

A rare & amazing departure as HAL's Eurodam and the Glory were in port at the same time ,
the weather was beautiful & timing was perfect as the sun set upon the city and the Eurodam as she departed Manhattan.

I was across the Hudson in Weehawken with a perfect view of the 2 vessels ,
from there I proceeded to Hoboken where I could get better shots of the Eurodam as she continued out to sea.

Launch!

Welcome Everyone!
